We wrapped up our two-week stint in Missouri and made it to Memphis, TN. I’m behind on posts–some repairs kept us plenty busy. But we got to spend a lot of time visiting with family and eating fabulous food.
We’re in Kansas City, Missouri for a while to see family and eat gob-loads of saucy meats on our way south for the winter.
The Accidentals have a brilliant song about the natural beauty of the Great Lakes State, and the autumn leaves have certainly colored the landscape in a stunning way.
When we planned our route east from Idaho to Michigan, South Dakota was a good halfway place to stop for a week. But it turned out to have so much to offer.
We’ve covered nearly a thousand miles to reach the Black Hills of South Dakota. We’re on our way to Grand Rapids, Michigan, and there’s a boatload of stuff to see along the way.
Our colds are receding as the leaves are turning. As we keep this eastward course, we hope to chase autumn across the plains. Boise has been a great stopover, though we’re already getting geared up for the next leg.
The plan was to leave Kalispell on Saturday. The plan was to overnight in Arco and see Craters of the Moon on Sunday. You know what wasn’t in the plan? A historic winter storm that spanned eight states.
For our first out-of-Washington RV trip, we head to Montana! Big Sky Country. The Treasure State. Huckleberry Heaven. Might’ve made that last one up…
